Vogue World: London in Pictures

Kicking off London Fashion Week, Vogue World: London took over Theatre Royal Drury Lane for one night only. Creatively overseen by BAFTA and Olivier-winning director Stephen Daldry and led by Vogue, the star-studded event was a vibrant celebration of the British performing arts.

Opera singer, Hongni Wu opened the live show, whilst none other than the inimitable Kate Moss stepped out into the Theatre Royal Drury Lane auditorium.

Accompanied by members of the Rambert Dance CompanyFKA Twigs gave her own rendition of Opus III’s It’s a Fine Day. Models including Adwoa Aboah, Precious Lee and a punk Cara Delevigne strutted through.

As he climbed his table, amongst other guests, Stormzy performed his hit track Crown. On the stage, Sophie Okonedo was delicately dressed in a regal gown by Vivienne Westwood.

It was classic meets contemporary as Helena WilsonTom Sturridge, Max Harwood, Kai-Isaiah Jamal and Taylor Zakhar Perez took Shakespeare from the stage to the club. And as the party died down, Royal Ballet principals, William Bracewell and Fumi Kaneko captured the Vogue audience with a magnetic routine.

Dressed in head to toe Charles Jeffrey (like our very own Red Coats), Damien LewisCush JumboSienna MillerJames McAvoy and James Corden paused on the evening’s proceedings for a hilarious skit as the theatre’s Front of House staff.

And in a finale fit for Fashion Week, Annie Lennox played the iconic Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). What’s more, The Supers, aka Naomi CampbellCindy CrawfordChristy Turlington Burns and Linda Evangelista stepped out to a rapturous response. And that’s how you do London Fashion Week at the theatre.
